The Parallel Parliament

One of the great things about the ProFirst system is that it doesn't change the way you vote or who gets elected in which constituency. So it can be run in parallel with the present system as a demonstration of how each Parliamentary Division would pan out under ProFirst as compared with the current "One MP - One Vote" system. All of the current Parliament's MPs have already been allocated their ProFirst voting power (check Your MP's Voting Power), so every time a Division takes place, the real "Ayes" and "Noes" can be demonstrated.

We intend to show within the main ProFirst website what difference there would have been in the outcome of a random sample of Divisions in the House by listing the total votes under the current system together with the way the weighted "Aye" and "No" votes would now total-up under ProFirst - which, when the vote is close, may well reverse the result.

Once the difference can be shown throughout every parliamentary session, pressure will build for the change in the system to allow everybody's vote to count - and keep on counting every time ...
